Bitmap vs. Vectors

1.      Bitmapped Image (Raster Image) “made up of pixels in a grind. Pixels are picture element; ting dots of individual colours that make up what you see on your screen. All these tiny dots of colours come together to form the image see.” Chastain. S. (2015).
2.      Vector Image “are made up of many individual, scalable objects. These objects are defined by mathematical equations rather than pixels, so they always render at high quality.” Chastain. S. (2015).

Characteristics of a Bitmap and Vector Image
Bitmapped images resolution dependant znd Vector Images are not
Vector Images contain no background and Bitmapp images can be saved in a wide variety of backgrounds.
Every Line in a vector  graphic is described by its features.

Advantages of Vector and Bitmap Images

When resizing vector images they do not lose their image quality but  one can share and edit Bitmapped images easily.
Vector Images are not cost effective as Bitmapp Images.
      Bitmapp Images are easily converted.
